Welcome to Embrace SCITT

At Embrace SCITT, we answer five critical questions to define us and provide our purpose and direction as a Teacher Training provider.

Who are we?

We are a school-led consortium of teacher training providers and experts from across Lancashire and the North West, working as one to train exceptional teachers in the Primary, Secondary and Special sectors. Our experience spans over 30 years in training teachers.

Our partnership consists of The Sea View Trust, Yarrow Schools Alliance, Blackpool Sea View Trust ITT, East Lancashire Inclusion Partnership, Endeavour Learning Trust, LET Education Trust, Rowan Learning Trust and Liverpool Hope University.

We work with schools and Trusts across the North West, collaborating to train excellent teachers. This map shows our Lead Provider locations but we have links and training partners across the region, ensuring you can train locally.

Why do we exist?

We are a school-led organisation that believes that our Pupils, Schools, Trusts and wider communities deserve exceptional teachers. We train excellent teachers who champion children’s right to an exceptional education in the North West and beyond.

How do we behave?

We ensure that all involved in our programme share core and common behaviours:

1) Professionally: We uphold public trust and treat people with respect and dignity.

2) Work hard: We are determined to get the job done.

3) Collaboratively: We work as a team to get the job done and maintain positive wellbeing.

What do we do?

We train excellent teachers who champion children’s right to an exceptional education in the North West and beyond by ensuring excellence in pedagogy and curriculum through research informed practice, which meets the needs of local Primary, Secondary and Special schools.

How will we succeed?

1) Academic rigour: Engagement with high-quality research bases, contextualised for the subjects and phases for which trainees are training to teach in.

2) Curriculum sequencing: interleaved curricula woven through centre- and school-based training which promotes curriculum and pedagogical mastery.

3) Exceptional talent: Exceptional facilitation and school-based mentoring.

We are looking forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey to becoming an excellent teacher.
