Our Teacher Training curriculum is designed to prepare our Trainees to be classroom ready and an outstanding teacher by the time they qualify.


Our well-sequenced curriculum is underpinned by the most recent evidence-based practice. Trainees receive expert centre-based training and school-based mentoring to develop Mastery of our four curriculum drivers:

In addition to our centre- and school-based training, our programme utilises a range of approaches to learning, including:

  • Online courses and training – used to revisit and consolidate learning.
  • Intensive Training and Practices – used to focus training on granular teaching skills.
  • Directed reading – used to develop a strong understanding of the research available to teachers to improve outcomes for pupils.


We value Postgraduate study. Our programme is complemented by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Liverpool Hope University. This Masters level academic programme builds your knowledge of research and applies it quickly to your practice in school. The programme is designed to be seamless and integrated at all points.
